Comfort is a wonderful place to visit.
It serves familiar food.
Knows your favourite excuses.
And never asks you to become someone different.
The trouble begins when comfort quietly changes your mailing address.
Most habits aren't difficult because they're physically demanding.
They're difficult because they ask us to become slightly unfamiliar.
The first workout feels awkward.
The first honest conversation feels uncomfortable.
The first 'no' feels guilty.
The first page feels impossible.
Our brain interprets unfamiliarity as danger.
Growth interprets it as progress.
The interesting part is this...
Today's discomfort often becomes tomorrow's routine.
Remember when driving felt complicated?
Or typing without looking at the keyboard seemed impossible?
Now you do both while wondering what's for dinner.
The comfort zone isn't a place to escape.
It's a place to occasionally leave...
So that one day, it becomes a little bigger.
