Your Habits Are Voting
Imagine an election.
Except it never ends.
Every morning...
A vote.
Every excuse...
A vote.
Every promise you keep...
Another vote.
Most of us think our future is decided by life's biggest moments.
Graduation.
Marriage.
Career.
Success.
In reality...
It's often decided on a random Tuesday when nobody is watching.
Do you go for the walk?
Do you make the call?
Do you read one page?
Do you keep the promise you made to yourself yesterday?
One vote won't decide the election.
That's the good news.
And also the dangerous news.
Because it's easy to believe,
"This one doesn't matter."
Until you've said it three hundred times.
Habits don't demand perfection.
They simply ask,
"Which direction are you repeatedly voting for?"
Fortunately...
Tomorrow's ballot opens again.
